Our department goal is to provide high quality service to the residents of our district and keep pace with the community we serve. We continually strive to improve our staffing, equipment, training and resource management to better perform our duty as Public Servants.
We are located Southeast of Denver Colorado, in Elbert County. Our District coverage area consists of 111 square miles in the Western part of the county. We respond to over 900 emergency calls per year.
The Department is made up of a diverse team of Fire Fighters, First Responders, Emergency Medical Technicians, Paramedics, Hazardous Material Technicians and Special Rescue Technicians. We respond to many different types of emergencies, from structure fires to Hazmat spills.
We are a Combination department staffed by Career and Volunteer Firefighters/Paramedics manning two stations 24x7.  The Volunteers augment by working shifts or responding via pager to emergency calls.
